automatically choose the wingman based on command, or callsign
Marc Dufour (Groan)
It would be a great feature to be able to use one push-to-talk key and have the application know which wingman to use, either intuitively know that a request to land goes to the appropriate wingman, or using the callsign, it would be directed to the proper wingman.
I use push to talk, while push to mute is used to silence my voice in my chat. I know a lot of folks use this method with VA.
So far, it's brilliant!

calling a wing man by name only works if the wingmen reside in the same folder, but if you have multiple folders and you want to speak to multiple wingmen. You still have to manually switch them. For instance, you might have a folder where the wingmen within that folder. Use Ollama backend but the wingmen in your other folder might use a different LLM whether it be local or cloud-based. In any event, you can't call the wingmen by name if it resides in a different folder. at least that never worked for me

Merged in a post:
Voice activation, default wingman and no wingman
With current version, you can activate voice activation, do not select a default wingman, and so it directs the command to the wingman you say the name.
Would be great to have that but:
- with a default wingman: if it does not recon the name, it sends the request to the default wingman
- or without a default wingman: if it does not recon the name it sends the request to the last wingman used. That could be useful to do followup conversations without saying the name each time...

Point 1 IS the default Wingman. The default Wingman means: you don't have to say its name to talk to it. But part 2 would be nice, yes.

Interesting idea, this would probably be possible with a "wake word"
Marc Dufour (Groan)
ShipBit Yes, that or allow push to talk, then state the name of the wingman you wish to address.

Marc Dufour (Groan) Yes, I meant that. We already have it in Voice Activation. We could add a global PTT key and then do the same thing as in VA to detect which Wingman you meant.

I got around this by adding all the functions of the other wingmen to Computer. Not as immersive, but it gets it done
